Hi, my name is Amanda. I am a 33 year old mom of 4 beautimus children! 2 boys and 2 girls! All stairsteps!
Since I was a child I had trouble sleeping but eventually I would finally go to sleep. As I got older I slept a little better. For a time I slept wonderfully! And BAM! I'm not sleeping AT ALL! During the day light hours I will finally "crash". But it's such a deep sleep that it makes me feel even worse than not getting sleep.
Sometimes I'll lay in bed and toss and turn and finally just begin to doze off when a little voice says "mama! I had a bad dream" and proceeds to plop their selves in the bed with me. I don't mind so much when the youngest does this (she is my baby). She's 5 yrs old. Usually when she comes along the other one's not far behind. She is 7. She does NOT like to sleep alone! She's my little (BIG) fit thrower!
I've heard that coffee can play a part in your sleeping habits. But for me, I don't believe that's true at all. I never drank coffee when I was a teen and I had trouble sleeping then. I can drink a cup of coffee before bed and go to sleep most times. But lately even taking 2 unisoms do not help.
By the way, is anyone else going through "the change" in their 30s? I sure am! Which can also play a big part in your sleeping patterns.
Do you have sleeping problems? Have you found a solution? Those of you who "nothing" worked on and then you finally found something that worked... what was it?
